Wednesday, 9 December our MYP students took part in a big event called “Hour of Code”
This event tries to promote coding in schools across the world during Computer Science Week from 7-13 December.
Our students had so much fun coding, working in pairs and solving small challenges in different games: Minecraft, Starwars and Frozen. After their amazing performance, every student got a well-deserved certificate of completion.
To finish off this exciting day, we had the amazing opportunity to have a Microsoft Programmer with us, Stuart Glasson, whose is also an ØIS father of two children in the PYP.
Students and teachers enjoyed a general talk about coding, working at Microsoft, upcoming projects in Technology, etc. Our students were very interested during the session and asked a lot of questions about Microsoft and programming.
Overall, a big day to celebrate and promote technology in our school. Well done everyone!
